The Pakistan High Commission in London now offers a digital facility for British Pakistanis to transfer property in Punjab, introduced on the Prime Minister’s directions as part of modernising consular services.
After identity verification, the transfer is completed digitally at the High Commission, without the need for a power of attorney, agent or other third party. Officials say the service is quicker, cheaper and more transparent, and reduces the risk of fraud and unnecessary legal costs.
The High Commission says the service is available at any time.
What this means for you: Overseas clients in the UK can now complete Punjab property transfers without handing a power of attorney to someone else, which removes a common source of fraud.
